Black exclamation point windows xp
My question is next. Is something changed with this yellow exclamation mark in Windows 7 from times of Windows XP? Assuming this is bit the driver does not need to be signed. Of course for bit you will need a signature since the driver will not load without it. In your case the yellow exclamation is showing something failed as the driver was comming up.
Without debugging this is going to be hard to identify. Install the driver on Win7 with SetupAPI logging, since this can give you some clue as to what is going on. Somewhere in this process the driver is returning an error.
So, if I've got right, if we will fix the problems inside of the driver this yellow exclamation mark will disappear in Windows 7 device manager in spite of we have not signed the driver? Collapse -.
