Office 2010 features pdf
OCT patches are specific to the Suite you make them for, in other words, a patch for Office ProPlus will not apply to Office Standard On the Set Feature installation states page, keep everything else at defaults, and only Choose the Microsoft Outlook feature to be "Run from my Computer". A [F] icon will come up before the feature name. This will install the patch, and the Outlook feature will be available for use.
In case you want to customize Outlook settings, you can do it on the same MSP in the Outlook section. Thank you for the response. I actually got my config. So instead of installing Outlook, I was removing any Outlook files that may have been present. It's amazing what you notice when you put it out there for other people to see I used the above mentioned method to create a msp for publisher feature.
I opened the oct tool and selected publisher feature to be "Run from my computer" and changed the shortcut to point to my apps instead of the default location. I installed the msp from command line ,It installes fine to my apps folder. The problem i am facing is i am not getting Publisher icon for this shortcut.

I have the same problem. Restarting the computer, or even shutting off and turning back on, do not work to solve the problem.
My Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro is fully updated. I even spoke with Adobe's support about this problem over the phone. The Adobe tech told me that the problem is from Microsoft's end.
He said that Adobe is waiting for a patch from Microsoft to deal with this problem. The Adobe tech said that Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro works fine, and has been working fine for long before the time Microsoft released Office , and that the problem resulted from Microsoft not making Office fully compatible with Adobe Acrobat. I suppose it was a mistake for my firm to buy a computer with Office They should have stuck with an earlier version of Office that is less buggy or, can we hope, bug-free?
Also, I really hate that the default format is docx, which no one else can open because it's not backwards compatible. Really the whole point of the redesign of the Office product to Office and is the XML document format.
Even OpenOffice can handle the docx format, so your claim that 'no one else can open it' is simply not correct. It certainly can to the Acrobat 8 PDF driver. What is not compatible is the Acrobat Office add-in which put a tab on the ribbon of , and despite Adobe's protestations that this is Microsoft's fault, Adobe has a long and poor history of producing add-ins for Office.
Until Adobe sorts it out - which they say will be done in Acrobat 10 - you always have the option of using Word's in built PDF creation tool. This does not work in Outlook , though.
As for what the Adobe tech told you, that's rubbish. It's not up to Microsoft to make its programs conform to add-ons, it's up to the add-on publishers to make their products work with major products. You can however customize this setting and install Office alongside an older version of Office. If you already have Office Technical Preview on your computer, make sure you completely uninstall this edition before attempting to installing Office 14 beta.
In case you still have trouble installing Office, use the cleanup utility to remove all traces of the previous version of Office from your system. Related: Try Office Starter Edition.
